I have been painting and taking photographs for many years and I love it.
Now that I live in paradise, being Tasmania, there is a picture waiting to be painted around every corner and in every bay.
It is also where sailing and being on the water is compulsory.
I attempt to capture in my works that split second moment that drew me to the subject of the painting or photograph in the first place.
It may be stunning light and colour as the sun sets or a flash of magic that stirs the emotions and makes one want to immediately go and paint that moment in an attempt to keep it alive forever.
That is what painting and photography is all about........PASSION.
The great thing about art for me, apart from the creative side is that everyone has a different opinion and that's great! ................................EMOTIONS!
I have been involved with many group and solo exhibitions and have been fortunate enough to have sold many of my artworks.
I have received inspiration from some wonderful Australian artists like Margaret Votarakis, Jon Crawley, Robert Wade and have now established my own style with which I am progressing.
I also especially love the works of the superb Australian watercolourist Reginald Ward Sturgess, along with Jane Price, Jane Sutherland, Monet & Johannes Vermeer.
